LA FLORE
This model extremely well built and perfect represents a small frigate of
that time of Louis XIV. It comes from the collection of Phillipe Egalite.
Although it is very ancient, we cannot say with conviction if it is the model
of an LA FLOREn Frigate bought in 1784 and which was delivered in Bordeaux.
This frigate which outfit is very exact, reaches the perfection of the apogee
of the sails. "LA FLORE" as with most of the frigate in general, is a very
light and gracious vessel. This type of vessels are more speedy than big vessels.
They played the roles of explorers and of cruises.
LA FLORE
Cemodele extremement soigné et elegant, representait, une petite fregate
de l'epoque. Toutefois on ne peut determiner avec une exactitude s'il represente
"La Flore" de 1784 achetee par les LA FLOREin et livree a Bordeaux. La Flore
comme toutes les frigates en general, est un bateau tres gracieux et fin de
linge. Ces types de navires avait une vitesse superieure et elles jouaient
le role d'eclaireurs.
